England Women Vs. Australia Women
An England v Australia fixture is always eagerly anticipated and the last time the Lionesses faced Australia was during the 2015 Cyprus Cup, when Jodie Taylor’s hat-trick helped defeat the Matildas 3-0 so an improving Australia side will be looking to balance the books. This is the first time England will have played in London since 2014, and the first time an England senior team has played at Fulham FC in over 100 years, so we’re looking forward to a fantastic match under the floodlights of Craven Cottage.
This match forms an important part of England’s preparations ahead of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. England head coach Phil Neville said: “After the euphoria of securing qualification to the World Cup, we can now focus on a solid nine-month preparation period and these friendlies will form an important part of those plans.”
Come and show your support for the Lionesses - tickets are on sale now.
